An employment credit report is a search conducted through one of the 3 major credit bureaus and provides a modified version of a full credit report. It omits account number information, year of birth and references to spouses/co-creditors.
Reported information includes a subject's credit history including trade lines, public records (such as judgments), collections, bankruptcies and liens. It does not provide a credit score.
This search is recommended only for those subjects whose position will have substantial fiduciary responsibilities.
Caution: Credit reports are highly regulated and in several states are prohibited from use unless the applicant's job warrants the credit report. This includes Colorado. If you have questions about the use of credit reports, please contact us.
